Karen Arce

Karen Arce is a Board Member of Building Trust Americas. Ms. Arce holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics and a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, both from the University of San Diego. She is a Tax Manager, serving the Bahamas, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands region in EY Cayman Ltd.’s Financial Services Organization. She is positioned in the Cayman Islands office.

Ms. Arce has seven years’ experience primarily working on tax compliance and ASC 740 engagements, as well as experience with partnerships, corporate taxation, and individual taxation. Her industry experience includes asset management, manufacturing, retail, pharmaceuticals, rental real estate, biotech, and technology. Ms. Arce recently completed a work rotation in Bangalore, India that focused on coaching and teaching a new hire group for the US Tax practice. She is fluent in Spanish.

Ms. Arce believes in the future of Ciudalela Sucre’s community and has been involved in two Habitat for Humanity volunteer trips in Colombia. Karen participated in her first Soacha, Colombia build with Habitat for Humanity in 2017 and later, for a second time, in late 2018. Karen’s first experience with building work was with Habitat for Humanity in San Diego, California. Karen has a lifelong commitment with Colombia and is enthusiastic about Building Trust Americas’ participation in the improvement of Soacha.
