PROJECTS

We are excited to showcase the projects we are able to support and fund with the help of our donors.

A little bit of history: from 2013-2018 we actively worked in the community of Ciudadela Sucre, close to Bogota, while volunteering with Habitat for Humanity Colombia. In total we helped build homes for 11 families, constructed a multi-purpose athletic facility, built two neighborhood pocket parks with playgrounds, and paved a road.

During the height of the Covid pandemic we partnered with other non-profits to distribute emergency food and hygienic supplies, funded the construction of a water-purifying station, the construction of a home, and continuing education scholarships for several adults.

2022 Staircase Project

In 2022, BTA partnered with Techo, a non-profit with offices in many Latin American countries, to fund and construct a 210-foot stairway down a treacherous, steep hill. The residents of the neighborhoods are very thankful for and proud of the safer passageway.

2023 Cancha Project

2023 Cancha—a concrete athletic field/civic space

One of the biggest requests we receive for aid from the communities we work alongside is canchas—concrete athletic fields where youth play soccer and basketball, and which can also be used for civic events.
